SDG #3 GOOD HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Recognizing that wellbeing is more than medically related, this program allows for a collective space for women to come together and talk about life. Through this program, women exchange information which directly impacts their wellbeing knowledge generation and sharing capacity. This has huge social, cultural, mental, and spiritual wellbeing benefits!

SDG #4 QUALITY EDUCATION

Women gain practical hands on skills in this program which then translates into dollars earned. Additionally, many women gain access to further adult education through this program, such as literacy programs.

SDG #5 GENDER EQUALITY

  1. As a response to the community, this program was formed because women were isolated in farming homesteads. This program brings women together, which results in increased solidary and less isolation. Through the support in this group, members have created plays on women’s issues which they have presented to the community to try to destigmatize many issues.

  2. Inequality is hard to contextualize under the SDG’s as equality and equity are viewed differently in Uganda than a western context. We ensure this program is operated in a culturally agentic way for our community
